Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person survival action shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monstrous creatures. As one of the last remnants of humanity, you'll set out alone or alongside up to two other players to face down hordes of deadly enemies and epic bosses, and try to carve a foothold, rebuild, and then retake what was lost.
Explore dynamically-generated worlds that change each time you play through them, creating new maps, enemy encounters, quest opportunities, and in-world events. Each of the game's four unique worlds is filled with monstrous denizens and environments that will provide fresh challenges with each playthrough. Adapt and explore... or die trying.

The Canopy is a hotbed of Root activity, and gets its name from the massive arboreal expanse covering the sky and blotting out the sun. The ground is scarred with deep ravines and chasms created when the roots of the massive tree system ravished and upturned the land.

The Pan are a race of incredibly agile, goat-like bipeds with a unique hierarchical society governed by an immortal priesthood. Theirs is a strict culture made up of two castes: The Commoners that form the bulk of the workforce and the idle Nobility, of which the Pan Priests are preeminent.
Concealed far beneath the dunes, the Buried City houses the remaining members of the heretical Akari; pariahs of the priesthood, who rebelled against the Undying King and his army.
As the atmosphere recovers from the devastation Ezlan unleashed upon the Root, those that sheltered underground have started to re-emerge. They build villages in the canyons, to avoid the worst of the sun's intense heat.
Dominion of Ezlan, the Undying King. It is from the citadel that Ezlan and his Anointed guards orchestrate Rhom's cleansing, to better prepare should the Root - or any other invader - appear.
The vast and desolate plains of Rhom offer glimpses of the civilization that was, before the Root came. Some do call the Wastes home, though they live hard lives under the unrelenting sun.

The primitive technology of Corsus' inhabitants is centered around harnessing the geothermal energy from the planet's core.
Corsus is primordial ice-planet criss-crossed by a network of geothermal fissures. This world and its inhabitants have not yet been tainted by the Root.
The Iskal are a strange race of intelligent, genetically mutated bipeds. Their DNA is a terrifying combination of mammalian and insectoid genes uniquely adapted to the harsh environment they call home.
Harsh and unforgiving, the surfaces of Reisum are considered uninhabitable to most. Only the brutal Urikki are hardy enough to thrive in the frigid temperatures and severe conditions.
The Emin cannot endure the harsh conditions of Reisum’s surface, so instead they occupy large underground networks of tunnels. They have massive families that often number in the hundreds, if not thousands. A single Warren can contain up to a hundred different families.
Urikki tribes often employ ice skiffs to ply the vast distances of the open steppes and patches of exposed sea. These long, slender vessels are adorned with runes and pictograms exalting the clan’s greatest deeds and celebrate its bravest warriors. The Urikki are predators by nature, hunting not only the creatures that inhabit the land but also those that dwell in the vast oceans.
The world of Reisum is deceptive in its nature. From the frost covered mountain peaks to the snowy tundra, it is a thing of beauty. However, the bitterly cold temperatures and almost unrelenting winter makes life on the surface of Reisum nearly unbearable.
The Urikki are powerful, hulking brutes… built for war. They have become the dominant force on Reisum due to their strength, dominating all other life forms through their sheer brutality and relentless ferocity.

Overcome tough-as-nails enemies and epic bosses throughout hostile environments to earn experience, valuable loot and upgrade materials you can use to build a wicked arsenal of weapons, armor, and modifications to approach each encounter dozens of unique ways.
Invading other worlds to seek an end to the Root is dangerous and survival is far from guaranteed. Team up with up to two other players to increase your chances of survival. Teamwork is necessary to make it through the game’s toughest challenges... and unlock its greatest rewards.
