My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi, one of the most popular mangas of the moment, has announced the official release date of its final chapter with a special trailer. My Hero Academia will conclude the story this summer in chapter #430, after a final arc that has left consequences for Izuku Midoriya and several main characters. Through the Shōnen Jump program on YouTube, "Jump Press," it was revealed that My Hero Academia's last chapter is scheduled for August 5, 2024, in Weekly Shōnen Jump Double Issue 36–37.

Sorry for the two-week hiatus! Due to various schedule conflicts, it's become like a mille-feuille! The story will be completed in 5 chapters. You may be thinking, 'Still 5 more chapters to go?!' or 'Only 5 more chapters to go?!' but I'll do my best with these 5 more! With Deku and the others! I had to dig deep but the reason I was able to draw Deku and his friends for almost 10 years is because you continued reading. It was like a dream. Thank you very much! ...Well then! Let's meet up again in Jump!"
The author recently took a two-week break to prepare for this final stretch of the series, with the intention of tying up the loose ends left after the final battle. With only 5 chapters left, the story still needs to cover the aftermath of the war for the UA students who recently returned to school to finish their studies and officially become heroes.
